I'm fairly sure that the new code requires 1.7.9, although I'm about to
test that assumption.

2.3.35 is a pretty trivial update to what we currently have and I'm almost
done with it, so I think it would make sense to go ahead and upload it.  I
don't know how far off 2.4 is from a full release.  Also, more practically
for me, we're currently working on building packages for internal use at
Stanford and we're going with 2.3.35 for now, so it's the code that I can
test.

I'm certainly hoping that we'll have 2.4 for lenny.

That's a thought.  I don't have time to work on it at the moment
personally, though.
