Unfortunately, you didn't send a patch; you attached complete copies of
modified files, which isn't particularly useful since other things have
since changed.

Upstream never pulled this fix up into 2.3 and looking at upstream CVS,
this is hundreds of lines of modification and looks like there may be
subsequent fixes as well.  I'm not particularly thrilled with the idea of
trying to backport this to 2.3.

If someone wants to do the work to come up with a tested *patch* against
the current OpenLDAP packages, we can consider it, but otherwise this will
probably have to wait for 2.4 packages.
