SMTP auth is indeed working - sorry for loosing track of all these
issues...  I'd suggest closing this

That'd indeed be nice - it'd also clear these:
 	ultima-thule sm-mta[16421]: no secret in database

which make no sense with:
 	pwcheck_method: gssapi saslauthd
and saslauthd is using -a ldap

But this is really a failure of the whole cyrus sasl plugin setup - I'm
now getting svn (new with 1.5) errors:
 	ultima-thule svnserve: _sasl_plugin_load failed on \
 		sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: ldapdb

I also don't see a way around the issue, shy of moving the plugins out
of the way and having the admin symlink the desired ones... or maybe a
package per plugin... neither of which is fun to contemplate
