Hi,
I've just merged the latest version of openldap from unstable (2.4.17-1)
into karmic (2.4.17-1ubuntu1) and updated the cnconfig migration patch
that is part of the Ubuntu package.
I've broken down the patch into two smaller patches attached:
1. cnconfig.patch: only adds support for migrating an existing system
to use cn=config. New installs will also be setup to run with
cn=config.
2. cnconfig-cleanup.patch: this patch is a cleanup of dead code. It
applies after cnconfig.patch above and cleans up the following:
* delete slapd.conf
* refactor slapd.config to group all pasword prompting code in one
function.
* get rid of pre-lenny upgrade code ( < 2.4.7-5)
* delete no longer needed functions in slapd.script-common
* delete obsolete debconf templates.
