[Pkg-openldap-devel] Fwd: a bit of bug triage

Hi Debian OpenLDAP gurus,

I have done a little bit of bug triage last weekend and today
resulting in followups and patches to some of the bugs.

For some other bugs I have ideas how to treat them,
but I am not sure what to do:

#334354	is IMHO no bug (at most a feature request against upstream).
	What do you think about:
	- changing severity to wishlist
	- marking it wontfix
	- closing it ?

#515232	Here upstream (I consider Quanah Gibson-Mount upstream) wrote,
that upstream should have fixes for it.
I did not verify this. How to treat that ?

#444936 According to upstream (Pierangelo Maserati) it's not a bug
but a configuration error on the user's side.
        What to do ?
        - close it ?

#417405	Refers to versions not in stable any more.
	How to deal with that?

#502815	Is against slapd from etch. In stable slapd links against
GnuTLS, and the option TLSCACertificatePath is documented
not to work with GnuTLS in the slapd.conf man page.
	What to do here:
	- mark it wontfix
	- closing it ?

#383237	Is about a slapd.conf parameter that got dropped in the
2.3 series. Stable now has 2.4.11.
Why not close this bug ?

And my last question:
What about a new version 2.4.15-2 i or 2.4.16-1 (once 2.4.16 is out)
with the patches in
#496749, #517556, #505191, #498116, #5186{57,59,60} applied ?

Tagging/closing the bugs above appropriately and uploading
a new version should bring the bug number down by at least 15.
(plus most of the lintian warnings)

Shall I tag / close those bugs that I consider either no bugs
or fixed in stable / testing?

Regards
Peter
