the reference is in the code (I compared the patch and the code in 2.4.15) and
Hallvard B Furuseth's comment to the bug.
I did not test compile the code with GCC 4.4 though.
Regarding "closed" vs. "fixed". I was not sure whether I - being a compelte
outsider (no DD, no maintainer, no upstream author, not the bug
submitter, ..) - am "morally" allowed to close bugs without supervision.
That's why I only marked it fixed.
Feel free to close it.
