Sure, but does this actually serve any function at all if you aren't doing
partial builds or iterating builds in the same source tree? at the start of
the build, none of the objects are built; at the end all of them are; there
doesn't seem to be any added value from the 'make depend' run AFAICS.
If it really matters I can add it back, but I don't really see the point
here.
