Ah, thanks for the pointer.

IMHO it is a bug because without knowledge that the information is in a
development package I couldn't find them. A user or me don't know if
it's is missing, outdated, somewhere else.
We as Debian split the documentation like the manpage into different
packages so it is our job to do the cross referencing (you find this and
that in the not depending package libldap2-dev). This would have helped
me and I guess other user because I don't search for missing manpages
somewhere else.
I hope my point is clear; we could make this better.;-)
