[Pkg-openldap-devel] no version information available

Dear maintainers of the ldap packages,

I hope this is the right channel to address my issue.

I run debian stable, but also do run a self-compiled vanilla openldap in
version 2.4.40 on server systems.

After the latest upgrade I have a situation that ld.so spits out a
warning:

{{{
git-remote-https: /opt/openldap/local/lib/libldap_r-2.4.so.2: no version information available (required by /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl-gnutls.so.4)
}}}

I'm no expert in ld and libtool, but this message is based on the fact,
that ld.so thinks, my compiled version is lower than yours. Obvisouly,
that wrong (mine is 2.4.40 your is 2.4.31) My guess is, you are now using
2.4-2 as a release tag where openldap usually uses 2.4.

Q: Why did you change the release tag in this way and not the
version-information tag?

Q: Can somebody help me out? Basically I do not want to fake this
release tag schema on my vanilla openldap (because it simple is not
2.4-2)

Many thanks for any response,
