Package: slapd
Version: 2.4.31-1+nmu2
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
I use slapd to distribute unix account data, with libnss-ldapd on the
client side. Using the default configuration of slapd, I get tons of
log messages like this:
| slapd[20774]: <= bdb_equality_candidates: (uid) not indexed
They also appear regarding some other attributes, and they appear with
olcLogLevel=none, too. I don't know how important those indexes are,
bug the only way I found to get rid of the log noise was actually
creating them. Therefore I had to change the olcDbIndex line in
/usr/share/slapd/slapd.init.ldif to the following value:
olcDbIndex: cn,gidNumber,member,memberUid,objectClass,uid,uidNumber eq
I'd like to propose this for the default config.
