If you do transition from openssl 0.9.7 to 0.9.8, you have the
situation, that you have some libraries linked still against 0.9.7,
while others and some programs are already linked against 0.9.8. If you
include third party programs and libraries, you have virtually no chance
to get all the programs and libraries linked against the same version of
openssl.
