Package: libssl0.9.7
Version: 0.9.7g-5
Severity: normal

Hi, with the removal of the libssl0.9.7-dev package, I now have to
download the openssl097 souce package, configure it to include shared
libraries and run make on openssl097 in order to compile C-Kermit with
openssl 0.9.7 support. When compiled, C-Kermit can then use the
shared libssl installed by the libssl0.9.7 package.

Is there a way for Debian to allow for multiple versions of development
files (openssl 0.9.7 and openssl 0.9.8 in this case) to be installed at
the same time, so that one does not need to download source packages and
manually configure paths in order to build applications that may be
dependent on different versions of development files?

Regards,

Arthur.

So, I'm closing this bug.
