There are always a number of bugs that do exist but are minor and
nobody really cares to fix.  What I think is the most important for
Debian to do is report them in the upstream bug tracker.

One of the problem I have is that I don't know enough about some of
those things to look at it myself.  For instance

Another one that I'd like to see solved is #431918

Then there are a few patches that we have applied that should probaly
be send upstream.
