[Pkg-openssl-devel] Bug#766297: openssl s_client no longer recognizes -ssl3 option

Package: openssl
Version: 1.0.1j-1
Severity: important

After my last testing upgrade, openssl s_client has trouble accepting
the -ssl3 and -ssl2 options. This prevents e.g. Gnus from using SSL
to connect to mailservers.

For example:

$ openssl s_client -ssl3 -quiet -connect ebox.rath.org:143
unknown option -ssl3
usage: s_client args

-host host - use -connect instead
-port port - use -connect instead
-connect host:port - who to connect to (default is localhost:4433)
-verify arg - turn on peer certificate verification
[...]
-srp_strength int - minimal mength in bits for N (default 1024).
 -ssl2 - just use SSLv2
 -ssl3 - just use SSLv3
 -tls1_2 - just use TLSv1.2
 -tls1_1 - just use TLSv1.1

Note that the option is even included in the help output.
