Followup-For: Bug #589520
Package: openssl
Version: 1.0.1k-3+deb8u2

Dear Maintainer,

Bug still exists in Debian Jessie, at least with s_client (haven't tried
s_server):

- using s_client with a DNS name that returns only an AAAA record fails
  with "gethostbyname failure"
- using s_client with "[ipv6-address]:portnumber" addressing schema
fails with "gethostbyname failure" as well

Please consider assigning a higher severity to this bug. It's not just a
"wishlist" thingy. It's quite annoying if you are in an IPv6-only
network, where IPv4 is not available.
