Getting 3.1 to Bookworm is next to impossible given how far we are in the
release cycle and the impact it has (the 3.0 release was tested/ used
during the whole time, the 3.1 might have some unexpected side effects
even if it is ABI compatible).
The 3.0 release is a LTS release while 3.1 is not. Depending on the
use case, upstream might be able to fix the issue in the 3.0 cycle and
then we could provide an update within the Bookworm release. This is my
current best case scenario.
Backports. I've done almost zero testing and a day after the upload to
experimental #1035623 has been reported. This needs to be addressed in
Bookworm first. Hopefully there is not more lurking…
That are my thoughts.
