Hello Debian OpenSSL maintainers!
For a while, the Tor Network has wanted to upgrade the network with
post-quantum cryptography for our TLS layer. We recently saw in the
OpenSSL announcements that OpenSSL 3.5 will support this, and it's an
LTS release. Many Tor Relay Operators use Debian, so the availability of
a particular dependency in Debian matters quite a bit when deploying
certain features.
Is it realistic that OpenSSL 3.5 will make it into the Debian Trixie
release, or is the timeline for that unlikely?
Thanks for all the work you folks are putting into Debian!
All the best,
Alex
