Just for the record, I am planning on packaging this new version
(during the weekend, most probably) and putting it in Debian's
experimental section of the repository for testing of the users.

If that's too late with you people, I may try to get things a little
bit faster to the repo. And, hopefully, close this bug that Stephan
saw.
