Responding to myself, I figured out that this may be related to the configuration of the Nextcloud server, which displays its Web interface with a dark theme.

When configuring another Nextcloud server in the same Desktop instance, I can switch to the view of the other server's sync, and then it is displayed with a different color (as the new server's display theme is different.
See attached screenshot.

Unfortunately I'm not able to configure the initial server's Web display preferences.
