In the meantime, 4.0.4 has been released including the cache fix.  It is
unfortunate that the migration script doesn't clear the fscache table,
but maybe they have another workaround that I don't see, because it
seems to work for me.

You are welcome the test pacakges available via:

  deb http://pkg-owncloud.alioth.debian.org/packages ./

I will upload these packages to Wheezy on Friday (29 June) if I don't
hear anything back.  (Sorry for the tight schedule, but the freeze is
nigh!)
