Either something quickly (4.0 won’t be maintained upstream anymore in a
few weeks, and keeping it in Sid if security issues are disclosed won’t
be an option), or sadly forget about it and be “happy” ownCloud is not
yet in an actual stable release :/.

In the near future, following upstream versions as closely as possible
will avoid us this kind of issues, and for the Jessie to Jessie+1
upgrade, let’s hope upstream will provide an actual upgrade path between
those versions. If not, we’ll have some time to handle it (and hopefully
a team closely aware of the codebase to provide the needed patches).
