Nothing happened so far, and the upcoming 5.0.7 release will probably
see the 4.0 branch EOL.

If 5.0.7 comes with some security fixes, it will be uploaded to Sid.

The 4.0 branch lasted a little bit more than a year, if ownCloud
upstream don’t extend the lifetime of their stable branch in the future,
we’ll have to face another problem while trying to keep it in Jessie for
its lifetime (count about three years, two if we do it as was done for
the MoFo tools in the past). The idea of an ESR-like switch in stable
doesn’t really make me happy or confident, but we’ll see.
