 Embedded Code Copies is a security nightmare, and especially, I do not
consider them an acceptable change for backporting a package.  Debian is
where it is because it tries to do the right thing, not the convenient
one.

 If you do not feel comfortable to support the backport of certain build
depends, then pretty please, don't do it, or find someone willing to
help you out, potentially someone from the packaging team of said
packages.
