[Pkg-owncloud-maintainers] owncloud 7.0.0 in wheezy-backports: no webodf support?

Hi Martin, David, Jason + Frank,

top posting what this is about... For details, see below...

@Jason+Frank, this thread discusses the status of the dojo package
that could be more up-to-date then it currently is in Debian.

As you three are maintainer/uploader of that package, I'd be happy to
receive feedback from you about current activity on the dojo
packaging. A new upstream version has been available for a while...
and it would be great to get a newer version into Jessie before the
freeze window closes.

TL;DR; for the below thread... owncloud 7.x provides a WebODF feature
(editing ODF documents TTW in an owncloud instance). This feature
works if owncloud is built against a recent dojo upstream version.
However, dojo in Debian got stuck at 1.7.2 and has not been updated
since 2012.

@Martin: The issue rather seems to be a Debian issue. The dojo package
in Debian hasn't at least been updated since wheezy got out. The
debian/changelog date goes back to "Mon, 20 Feb 2012 16:14:59 -0500".

There is a bug that has started a discussion on upgrading but without
results so far ([1]).

Thus, this package feels quite unmaintained at the moment, however, it
would be helpful to get a newer upstream version into unstable to get
WebODF support working in owncloud.

I hope Jason or Frank can give feedback and maybe possibly hand over
the dojo package to the Javascript or the Owncloud packaging team.

Mike
