I think you're absolutely correct, but I also think that it is completely
pointless to try to convince Jos Poortvliet. [removed my personal, not very
positive qualifications of him as that will also not help the situation]
As I have a strong feeling I'm 'responsible' for him throwing a fit, here's the

I think I was/am completely correct in what I said in that thread, but in
hindsight I probably should've kept it to myself.
As usual/always their only 'solution' to a problem is to upgrade to a latest
(beta) version in the hope that the problem then goes away.
(I am quite certain that the issue is on the sync client on the phone)
And any upgrade problems will always be blamed on the Debian packages, even
though they are FAR superior to theirs.
So my *personal* opinion is to just ignore him and/or issues like this as I
don't think they're interesting in properly solving them and it likely only
creates bad blood.
