Just thought to mention, I am fully in favor. Are you also going to move
castle-game(-engine) and view3dscene?

Also 100% in favor of git.

Teaser: one of the nice features is that after the initial download, you
don't need to download the full upstream tar-ball anymore because you
get it via git patches in pristine-tar target.
