Ok, so basically you offered to help to get the backport running. As far
as I can tell, the backport for wheezy should just work, so I will (try
to) build and upload shortly. If you commit to help with possible
problems in the backport I believe we have the manpower right there for
the wheezy backport.

I have never looked into backporting to squeeze. The problem that we may
have there is that the gap in versions between fpc in squeeze and in
testing is too large to build. So it requires bootstrapping or multiple
iterations. I don't know if the backport policy allows for either. If
you (Dimitrios) want to have the backport in squeeze, this is the field
to investigate. I suggest you subscribe to the backports e-maillist and
ask there.
