I had a problem compiling doublecmd on ARM not so long ago.
I filed a bug on fpc's bug tracker [1] and they were helpful.
Remember to check on your bug as their system doesn't seem to notify
you of updates.

I will try building lazarus 1.4.0 on a real armhf system next week.
