I will have a look this week. Indeed I forgot that replacing a directory
with a symlink is slightly more involved. But if you don't beat me to
it, I'll make sure we have this in place.

On a related issue, what are your ideas about packaging lazarus 1.4.4 (I
haven't put my effort to it because of the work I have been doing on
fpc, but I don't want to hold it off too long)? And do you know if we
could build that in Debian against fpc 3.0.0? I.e. can we migrate fpc to
unstable once 3.0.0 is out (and tested all building of dependent
packages in experimental)?
