Thank you reporting this problem. However I'm not sure I agree with the
severity.
I think this is severity normal and thus changing it. This will not have any
incidence on the speed of fixing the issue. I'm going to fix that ASAP.

This creates two major problems:
1) IDE cannot be rebuilt - which is required to install or remove
components.
I've recently installed kcMapViewer component and was able to rebuild the IDE.
So the problem is rather relater to a particular package you are trying to
install rather than being a general issue.

files.
That I a valuable information. We do appreciate enumerating them and will add
them. I'll also try to put an automatic check to catch new packages added by
upstream at packaging time and throw error if not packaged.

For example, taking a look at the "anchordocking" component structure:
/usr/lib/lazarus/1.6/components/anchordocking/
There are two files missing which render this component useless:
/anchordocking.lpk
/design/anchordockingdsgn.lpk
These two packages will be in next upload for sure.

There are many other files and whole directories missing from the package.
Can you please provide a complete list?
As I've said above, I'm going to try to implement some automatic checks, but can
not ensure there are no missing packages.
