Hi Adam,

During Debconf you found out what the issue was with fpc on powerpc
(glibc update related). We haven't seen a solution yet (I expect you are
too busy), but could you at least share your current knowledge such that
others could investigate further and e.g. check that upstream doesn't
already have a solution?

I fear all others involved so far don't have the skills to fix the issue.

If no solution to this issue is created soon, I think it is best to
acknowledge that we (all involved) can't practically fix the issue
(caused by lack of skills and/or time) and we'll need request removal of
the whole fpc stack in sid and stretch on powerpc.

There are multiple improvements pending for upload, but that doesn't
make much sense, because it won't migrate to stretch anyways. Also
already multiple updates of reverse dependent packages are blocked by
this issue.

Paul

P.S. yes I know I reset the auto-removal timer by writing this e-mail
but I promise to act before the original timer anyways and auto-removal
only solves a minor part of the issue.
