Just so most people are aware, I'll upload a new version of fpc soon
(today/tomorrow, currently building on debomatic), but it will NOT
include the work discussed in bug 845498, because I don't trust my
understanding yet. My proposal is that I work on including Ben's tips
and remarks from Abou in experimental first, such that we can see if I
get it right. If we are on time for Stretch, nice, else we need to defer
to Buster.
