But it is doing it's own detection of the MySQL flavor... Why is it
doing that then?

Indeed, and nobody noticed until now. I'll start digging where on earth
fpc is doing MySQL stuff. I have never seen it so I don't know.

Well, close, English isn't my native language and this is too close, but
I think I wanted to write incidentally ;).

I am waiting for fpc to be installed everywhere before I upload
libqtpas, which I need before I can upload lazarus. So it may take two days.
