That's good news! I was not aware of the fix for FPC 3.1.1.

At least there is now also a workaround for older versions of ld+FPC,
if someone should need that (although hacky and not very pretty, I'll
admit to that).

It's nice to see FPC actively developed and packaged, since it's a
fast, capable and somewhat underrated compiler.
