Dear pristine-tar maintainer,

First thank you very much for the effort you provide to maintain pristine-tar
package.

I've noticed recently that I was not able to reproduce the tarball of package
lazarus pushed by a colleague of mine on that project.
It turned out that he was using 1.44 while I'm using 1.38 on Stretch.

The result of our analysis was that enabling by default xdelta3 may be causing
this.
The full discussion is here. I did not report a bug in the tracker because I
want to confirm that this is not an intended breakage.

Thank you for your help
