I see the point, but as you said this a soft freeze, and tests performed by
Graham show everything is OK
I'd say that from a user point of view, having the latest release is buster will
make much difference.
Otherwise people will turn in direction of non official deb packages and this
will be a pity.

As we only have a few days before hard freeze, let's push this.
