Package names with underscore are not allowed in Debian, so the typo as
you describe it is not possible, as the package would have invalid
dependencies. See

Can you explain what you mean here? Did you try to install only
fp-utils-3.0.4 and you got fpc-source (without version)? That would we
weird as that unversioned dependency is not defined in the control file
AFAICT.

It's not clear what you mean here.

In Debian, we don't ship fpc-laz. That is a package provided by the
lazarus project. As far as I know, they are doing this because they
don't agree with the way we package fpc and it's parts in Debian.
