Although I share your feeling, about it being weird, I don't see the

I can live with that. By the way, most of the time we don't need import
scripts as uscan can nowadays do that for us via Files-Excluded in
d/copyright.

In line with the policy, I don't like bumping epoch. At least you have
to discuss on debian-devel before proceeding. I suggest we keep a
+<real> version number until lazarus is at 2.6. That won't be too long
and avoids have the epoch.
