[Pkg-pascal-devel] Lazarus in backports

Hi (Abou ?)

I am a bit puzzled about Lazarus in bullseye-backports.  Seems it has a
dependency on libc 2.34 where Bullseye uses 2.31.

Is this somehow related to the new startup code in 2.34 ?  A binary
built on a system using libc 2.34 will not run on one using an older
libc, eg bullseye. But a binary built in bullseye will happily run a
libc 2.34 system, such as testing.

Now, I don't know how binary packages for backports are built, I would
have assumed that backports for bullseye would be built on bullseye, if
thats the case, no need for them to depend on libc 2.34 is there ?

As it is at present, the Lazarus bullseye backport does not seem to be
usable. Unless you want to update libc and that sounds just a bit too
brave for me !
