Paul meant that in the past we did provide arm64 support despite the official
release was not providing such support.
That was possible thanks to several patches backported from FPC trunk to Debian
FPC release.

However, the ticket in question is about mips64el and riscv64, which are
supported currently by FPC master, but I fear 3.2.2 is too old to allow easily
backporting patches from master.

As an example, I've asked upstream to fix armhf capability bits and the patch
was not obvious to port that they are considering creating a new 3.2.2 dedicated
patch for it.
