For me, Bookworm has about 2 year before next release will probably be
published. Adding also that 2.2 was released almost 3 years ago, this makes it
so much old Lazarus version for Debian users.

Also, FPC, is not like GCC, only few packages (actually maybe 30) are using it,
so the impact is very reduced. Also, the update of FPC is minor and the risk is
almost null.

Now, of course some users use backports for getting new Lazarus version, but
this is an obscure feature for so many users.

Of course, it not as strong argument as a security fix, but it is importent from
marketing point of view. I know such arguments are so tiny for an open source
project, but this is the main argument I got each time I discuss with Lazarus
users that prefer using the upstream Debian package.
