Package: libdbd-sqlite3-perl
Version: 1.08-1
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

please consider dynamic linking of
(libdbd-sqlite3-perl)/usr/lib/perl5/auto/DBD/SQLite/SQLite.so against
(libsqlite3-0)/usr/lib/libsqlite3.so.0

Currently, libsqlite3 is statically linked and I somehow understand
the rationale behind it (no dependency-trees, no need to install
additional libraries and tools just because one likes to have sqlite3
support in some perl script, no need to track changes in any other
package and no new uploads just because of changes there, etc.),
therefore I set the severity to wishlist.
However, dynamic linking provides advantages too: no need to recompile
because of minor (version) changes in sqlite3, delegation of security-
fixes to the sqlite3 maintainer (thus no need to track them yourself),
etc.

Thanks for your work & regards,
   Mario
