Yes, mod_perl 1.x and 2.x are API-incompatible. Even worse, the
mod_perl that ships with Sarge is almost-almost-but-not-quite 2.0, so
it's incompatible with most mod_perl 2.0 things out there :-/

The porting effort is not usually terrible, but is not trivial either :(
