Hm, at least that's what it looks like on my laptop.

Exactly, it works on my laptop with .20 and .21 but not with .22-rc4.

Might be possible. It is a Debian kernel (from the kernel teams
"preview" repository [0]) but who knows.
Maybe also the kernel boot options are different (I've been playing
around with the timesource parameter for quite some time).

At least it didn't work that bad during the last weeks, e.g. at
DebConf :-)
