A couple of notes:

1. I have a backport of 0.84 to Lenny on my personal website:
   http://people.connexer.com/~roberto/debian/
(I haven't needed the latest and greatest, but I've been meaning to
backport the latest once I finally track down the FTBFS that happens
   only on certain architectures.)

2. I have a HOWTO that I wrote a few years ago (still very relevant
based on the comments I receive) that explains the process of
customizing a Debian (backporting is effectively a subset of that):
   http://people.connexer.com/~roberto/howtos/debcustomize

Regards,

-Roberto
