Hi!
The switch to perl might be a good idea, but the change in the options
and configuration is not really helpful.
-) I can't find a way to put into the configuration that I prefer
--format=mp4 in the config file, I always have to give it on the
commandline.
-) Where I formerly used --play=src (or even had the posibility to put
that into the config file) I now have to use --exec with the complete
calling syntax, quite inconvenient. :/
-) Why is the file in /usr/share/doc/clive/examples called configrc and
not config like what would have to use in ~/.config/clive/?
Please make both the config file options a bit more userfriendly (allow
storing of default values for players and formats, for a start) and also
think about a compatibility layer for the calling for people who used
clive in lenny already and propably have written scripts depending on
the switches.
Thanks in advance, and by all means: THANKS for this helpful tool!
Being a powerpc user one doesn't have a proper flash plugin available.
:)
So long!
Rhonda
