1. Problem Description:

Today users reported that our intranet web server was not
running. "sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 start" was able to start it
properly but having apache2 die like this is probably a bug.

I am not able to reproduce problem. I tried

sudo /etc/cron.daily/apache2
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 reload

but they did not cause apache2 to die again. Please let me know if
there's something I should test.
