I can reproduce it here, with LANG set to en_GB.utf-8 in my environment.
Running sbuild with a clean environment via "env -i" works.
Not sure why LANG is getting through to sbuild… but perhaps we should force
LANG=C for the testsuite? Or, as gregor suggested, we could just disable the
POD tests.
