Bug#606345: I have attempted to reproduce this

Stanislav,
     I'm sorry to say I have put some effort into reproducing this 
without success.    I used the GET utility and ran it through the 
attached proxy script with a timeout of 1. I either got an intanct file 
or a 500 read timeout error. I tried it against both the most recent 
versions of the package.
