Until recently, Hurd didn't have /dev/random available -- you needed a
custom translator for it.  I think that's been resolved for a little
while now, but when it was the case, there were several common packages
that misbehaved (e.g. debian's compilation of openssh has trouble
without /dev/random).

I think putting Data::Random as a Suggests: instead of a Recommends:
would be reasonable.

Alternately, you could check with the non-Linux kernel folks and put the
package in an architecture-conditioned Depends: and drop it from the
other fields.

thanks for packaging libcrypt-dsa-perl, by the way!  i was excited to
see it land in the archive!
